Catch the opening season NFL games and MLB Pennant Races
It has become a festival staple making football and baseball fans happy as clams to learn the Xfinity Pigskin Party Lounge is returning to this year’s Mountain View Art & Wine Festival, September 7-8 on Castro Street.
“It’s opening week of the NFL season, college football is in full swing and the MLB pennant races are on,” said Peter Katz, President/CEO of the Chamber of Commerce. “It’s one of the best times of the year in sports and, thanks to Xfinity, we’re delighted to bring the action LIVE to fans on a giant LED screen again at this year’s festival.”

“Xfinity is delighted to partner with the festival to help make the Pigskin Party Lounge a reality,” said Deb Padia, Event Specialist for Xfinity. “Sports fans and friends looking for a spot to kick back will love it.”

The Xfinity Pigskin Party Lounge, located at the intersection of Castro St and Mercy St, will be a place where festivalgoers can take a break and relax with friends while watching their favorite sporting events on a giant LED screen. Top that off with a tasty microbrew, glass or wine, sangria, or craft cocktail along with an array of fabulous choices from the food vendors nearby and you’ve got a slam dunk winner.

Festival organizers decided to bring in the giant LED screen a few years ago as a draw for sports fans, not the easiest audience to attract to a weekend festival, particularly during the NFL and college football season and MLB pennant races.

The state-of-the-art 9-foot-by-12-foot light-emitting-diode screen is supplied to the festival through its partnership with Sonoma Valley Mobile LED.
