Mountain View Art & Wine Festival Returns to Celebrate Creativity, Culture, and Community The award-winning Mountain View Art & Wine Festival, presented by the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce, returns to Castro Street in Downtown Mountain View on Saturday, September 12 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, September 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This free-admission celebration promises a weekend filled with art, music, gourmet food and drink, and an unmistakable community spirit in the heart of Silicon Valley. A Sensory Wonderland Now in its 54th year, the festival transforms Castro Street into a lively outdoor marketplace and cultural celebration. Visitors can stroll among 400 booths of thoughtfully curated, all-original works by world-class artists, sample exceptional wines and craft beverages, enjoy live music on two stages, and discover unique experiences around every corner. Interactive and Immersive Experiences The Collaborative Paint Temple invites guests to take part in a shared art project set to melodic house music from live DJs. This year’s theme, “My Superpower Is…”, invites attendees to reflect on their personal strengths and express them creatively. Over the course of the weekend, the community’s contributions will transform the temple into a vibrant mosaic of color, culminating in an entirely new work of art by Sunday evening, created by and for the community. Family-Friendly Fun The Kid Zone is packed with activities and attractions for all ages, including games, face painting, bungee trampolines, and “water balls” that let kids walk on water inside giant inflatable orbs. The Community Stage showcases emerging local talent; singers, dancers, actors, musicians, and more. “The Community Stage truly captures the spirit of our festival,” says Peter Katz of the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce. “It’s become a favorite among guests, and it’s always inspiring to see the incredible range of talent our community has to offer.” Drinks to Savor Throughout the festival, enjoy glasses of Pénélope Sparkling Rosé, Dominic Hentall Terra Bianca, David Marchesi Chardonnay, Mauricio Lorca Cabernet, and Beringer Sangria. Beer lovers can quaff craft beer favorites including Brewing Co. Big Wave Blonde, Golden Road Brewing Mango Cart, Stella Artois Lager, and Elysian Space Dust IPA. Refreshing canned cocktails are also available. For non-alcoholic options, sip beachside bliss with Tropical Hut’s non-alcoholic piña coladas served in fresh pineapples or coconuts, or pick up a ice cold water from one of the water booths. A Feast for Every Palate From sizzling BBQ and authentic street tacos to savory bao buns, Indonesian satay, gourmet crêpes, and wood-fired pizza, the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival is a celebration for the taste buds as much as the senses.
