Based in San Jose, Tortilla Soup is a powerhouse 9-piece band founded in 2003 by trumpet player Robert Payne, featuring veteran musicians who have performed with legendary acts like Tower of Power and Malo. Known for their dynamic horn section and exceptional musicianship, the band delivers crowd-moving performances spanning classic soul, funk, R&B, and dance hits from the 1960s to today. With more than 40 shows annually and a history of sharing stages with iconic artists, Tortilla Soup brings an unforgettable, high-energy experience to festivals, wineries, and special events throughout California.
